Observation Tower benches at ground level

I imagine these benches are for larger groups of people maybe taking a tour today of the old Kaiser Shipyards. They are on the ground before you go up to the third floor observation tower.

Observation Tower tiny bench

I found this on the third floor of the observation deck in the Kaiser Shipyard by the boat ramp. I have lived here 24 years and never climbed it before this weekend. I suppose it is for those who, after climbing three sets of stairs, might need to pause for a moment.

Two benches -- "inside and out"

I was walking in an area of town near the railroad station because I have a Flat Stanley visiting me from North Carolina and I was giving him the tour of the city. I saw this pretty bench outside this building so I took a photo with the name of the building first.

Then I took a close up of it. . . and when I got closer I saw a bench inside the building so I got my brave face on and tried to open the door but it was locked. That didn't stop me. I was trying to look through the glass doors to see how I could take it through the window like I have done a million times WHEN a lady comes to the door, unlocks it and asks what I am doing? I wanted to run but I had the guts to tell her I wanted to take a photo of the bench inside and she allowed me to come in and take it. She even offered to remove the cushion. I said not to as I liked it that way.

So, this is what I risked my neck for last Monday! Was it worth the embarrasement? YES!!!!!!!!!! Isn't it divine?

Victorian bench in antique store window

When I saw this, I had to take a photo even if it was through the window.

There is another bench here at RuneE's site that is really special too. Take a look at it!

Sad shape bench

With graffiti on this one, it looks like no one cares BUT if you were tired and needed a rest, you would be glad it was there. It is at the beginning of the park called Leverich.

Single bench on trail

I walked the Ellen B. Davis trail last Monday. It is not a paved trail and very narrow. BUT the thing it did have was a bench. . . it was small, but what a view for such a small bench!

Detailed plastic garden benches

Would be a nice place to sit on a summer day. . .
