I first started blogging about benches with Kerri and Dot on this site: For the Love of Benches . If you care to see some of the older posts about benches we posted, please look it up.
This is another great BENCHES blog -- go here:

I am on my third digital camera, all Olympus. I enjoy using it and sharing my photos. I also enjoy writing. I hope to share a little of each on this blog. My main blog is Postcards From the Northwest.
Kerri and I will continue to add benches to "For the Love of Benches Continued . . . " blog also. It is good to continue to share with her!
Continuation of the Kiggins House Re-model photos were lost when my computer crashed.
The latest city project, TURTLE PLACE, will unfold here as I have time to add photos. It is complete and maybe I can find enough photos someday to show you the final results. Next project after the two I am working on now. . .
If you want to see some terrific lighting on a bench in Australia, go here: That's My World Every Tuesday Leave a comment there but leave one here too! Ü He posted this on Tuesday, February 24th. in Australia. It is several posts down as he posts for different memes on the same day.
I was walking along a road and spotted this white bench, table and chair.I couldn't get a good view of the whole long bench so I walked a bit further to take the photo from the back instead of the side. . . and look what I found in my background on the porch! Aren't they both gorgeous? Each in their own way . . .
After I visited Myrl, I decided to investigate Evergreen Hiway that went east --I had never traveled on it. I went past the I-205 bridge -- well, under it -- and then found the fish hatchery. Looked like an interesting place but was all locked up for the weekend I guess. There was a small lake there and pools for fish and a really nice brick gathering place shaped in a circle. I imagine school kids come for field trips there. I didn't know it existed. Then I walked a bit more but it started to get dark and I had several miles to walk back so I decided further investigations would have to wait for a day when I could start earlier. Later, I learned the old Evergreen Hiway lead to a small city called Camas and another named Washougal. Usually, the only way to get there is by hiway 14 so was happy to learn I could walk there on this old highway near the Columbia River.
As I was leaving the area, I spotted this bunch of benches probably used for lectures to groups of people visiting the fish hatchery.
I found this on the way to visit my friend, Myrl. . . well, I mean after I visited her, I took a walk on the other end of the old Evergren Hiway and found it. Do you see all the heart shapes in it? I didn't see that when I took the photo -- only after I uploaded it! Ü Happy Valentine's Day!
The Parks and Recreation Department recently remodeled the end of the trailhead/beinning of the trailhead and it looks so inviting now. On one side you can see the beginning of Burnt Bridge Creek which looks like a small lake. The other is the forest side.
If you go here: Tom you will find several neat benches in wonderful settings on his post from Wednesday, February 4th. I have to admit that I followed a link from Kerri's blog.
I was walking down this alley near where I live as a friend wanted to find a safe place to walk using her walker -- the sidewaks are all bumpy because of the old trees -- and I spotted this beautiful bench in the back yard near the alley.
This bench is so new that I could smell the wood planks it was made from. It is near the end (or the beginning if you are walking west) of the Stewart Glen Trail that runs along Bunt Bridge Creek. It overlooks a body of water that looks like a small lake at the end of Burnt Bridge Creek.
