Spotted this in Old Glory Antique Store last week. I would not mind taking it home with me if only I had the room!!!!! sigh

Saw this one in a consignment store. There was a note on it that it had been sold AND another note that if the person changed their mind, another guy wanted it! I don't blame him.

Found this one in Nob Hill area of Portland. I would choose to sit on the bench instead of the metal chairs.

Bus Ad bench

This type of bench used to be very popular for bus stops. Now, I see a few here and there.

Colorful bench being used . . .

I was so glad the person moved off this bench so I could get a shot of it. That's his shadow to the right. . . Found it in Nob Hill District in Portland. Isn't it colorful and inviting?

This bench is in front of a school near their playground. Isn't it clever? AND, how about those legs/arms? It was designed by students in the Art class.

I was walking around Gresham, Oregon . . . I didn't even know I was capturing the reflection bench! I just wanted to get the two inside without going in myself.

Home made benches in 2nd hand store

I was at the Salvation Army store and saw this gorgeous set: table, Lshaped benches and one straight bench. It had $150.00 tag on it.

Now that is a little steep for me for second hand furniture and the back wasn't even finished. It fit in a corner but the place I would have put it, the unfiished part would have shown. I STILL WANTED IT! I figured I could sand it and varnish the part that wasn't done and it would work out ok. BUT, I left it there.

The next day, I went back and it was sold!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I was kinda upset with myself. I don't need a dining table tho -- was going to put all my old computers on it. . . lol

The day after that was Saturday and they had a big sale for 50 per cent off and the set was back -- returned because of a minor crack on it and the price was lowered to 80 dollars. I decided that was the clue for me to buy it. I went and bought my lighthouse for my bathroom on a shelf in the other room and then came back and it was GONE! Someone had beat me to it! BIG SIGH. I hope they enjoy having it as much as I would have. . . I still have the memory and photo!

This is my latest aquistion -- I got it for 50 per cent off sale and could not resist the uniqueness of it. It is hand made and tiny nails hold it together.

Most of the time that I passed these benches, they were occupied with weary Fair goers. . . nice they were inside a building in the shade!

Punctuation Benches -- #7 and #8 -- period and comma

This shot looks funny also because I took them upside down to eliminate people in the shot BUT it is definitely a period and a comma --two more little artistic benches.

Punctuation mark benches #3 -- Question Mark

This is definitely a question mark. . . one day, I will travel back there and get better photos with all the litter and personal belongings off the benches. . . I hope!

Punctuation benches #2 -- the semi-colon

Before I realized these were punctuation benches, I shot this one. Had to turn it over to see it correctly so it looks a bit odd BUT it is a semi colon --two little benches! Some might argue that they are just two chairs but I definitely think this collection are benches.

Punctuation bench #1 -- the exclamation point!!!!!!!

We were catching the Max train and had to go to this area to get back to downtown Portland. We were greeted with many punctuation benches. This one is not a circle and a long bench but an exclamation point! Very creative, don't you think?
