Memorial Bench

This bench is near the Veterans memorial but it is a friendship bench. Under the snow on the left side, is the story of the Chinook Indians and the first settlers to this area.

Another bench for sale . . .

I saw this one first when looking for something at Christmas time. I liked the shelf with baskets under it. Could come in handy on a lazy day when you want something close to you -- like lunch or books or binoculars, etc.

Bench and Reflection

A very simple bench...used mostly while trout
fishing at this pond. I really liked the reflection that is shown
in the pond...almost like a two for one again.

Bench for sale!

I saw this when out Christmas shopping.

Two Benches in One Shot

This was taken back in June when I went on my "bench outing".
I thought it was neat that I could get two in one shot :)

Double duty back to back bench at mall

Saw this one just as one enters the main doors of the mall. It is nice to sit on and wait for a bus when the weather is too cold to sit on the outdoor benches for bus.

Bench by Target department store

This is the third try at capturing these on my camera. For some reason, the first two tries were unsuccessful. I was determined to get them since I did not have any red benches yet. They had 4 of them in the front of the store.

Snowy brick bench

It really isn't bricks but it looks an awful lot like the brick wall in the background. . .

Another photo of December snow bench

Hopefully, this is a better view of the bench I posted the other night. Once again, just a little snow. Today is the third time it snowed but we sure aren't getting much while all around us, cities are getting much more. CLICK on to enlarge and see the beautiful wood. This is truly a beautiful bench placed curbside facing a house.

Bench at Marshall Center

I like the style of this bench. I think I may have posted one similar but this one is a new bench because I had never been to the Marshall Center before.

Double stone bench

I went to a Christmas bazaar at a senior center last Saturday and found these double stone benches. Don't look comfortable but if one had to wait, anything to sit down on helps, I guess.

For sale table bench

Saw this when I was out shopping for Christmas. Would love to have it if I had room!

December Snow Bench

Well, it snowed Sunday but not much. I watched it from the big picture windows in the narthex at church. I was in charge of the Cookie Walk and couldn't leave to take photos. That is when I saw the most snow but it was really blowing off the parking lot fast. When I left around noon, there wasn't much snow to take photos of -- across the river in Oregon, they got all the snow! We just have the freezing cold and it was just 14 degrees. So then I had a meeting when I got home in the apartment building. Just after 4:00, I was finally "free" to try to get some photos but had to have a bite to eat since all I had all day so far was a cookie. Then I went outside to take some photos of the remaining snow and was very unsuccessful. I can't figure out how to take a flash photo with my new camera -- it looks like is "automatic" and I have no control over it. I have to read more of the booklet, I guess.

Anyway, now that I have made excuses for my not so good grainy photo, here's the surprise I found near my home. It was two cold to walk more than two blocks and this bench was definitely not there a short time back. It is in a weird place near the curb facing the house so hope it doesn't disappear before I can get a better photo. How I miss my old camera!

Oops! Forgot to upload photo -- will get it up asap

Bench by red door

Just another neighborhood bench that looks like it is cared for.

Brown and white bench

I wish I had dared go up on this porch like I did another time. . . I can't tell if this is a completely wooden bench or if there is metal involved. When enlarged, the legs and other white parts look like metal.

Home made bench for one

It was probably a nice seat once upon a time. Looks like they even tried to make it more comfy with a pillow. I wonder if they built it?

A Bench Along a Trail

I found this bench on July 1st of this year along
a walking trail near the Coal Mining Heritage Park.

White matching railing bench

I wonder if they made this bench from the scraps of lumber from the rail? Whatever, it is a pretty bench for one! (Hope you don't miss my green bench below also.)

Bench at Elementary School

One day last June, my daughter and I set out to find some
benches. This is one I found at the local Elementary School.

Green bench at VA hospital

Found this colorful bench when we went over to the VA hospital to deliver handmade things we had knitted or crocheted for their Christmas shopping for Vets in the hospital for their families.

I found several benches there and will be posting them eventually.

Bench at the Park

A bench at Hethwood Park. I took this in October.
Sad to say that all of this color is now gone until next year.

Another Norwegian bench from Rune E

Please go here to see a neat stone bench in Norway. You won't be sorry. Also, if you read a couple posts above it, he shows what the view is like from that stone bench.

Bench from Tennessee

A bench I came upon while visiting in Tennessee.

Neighborhood bench

I don't know how I missed this bench except that I usually walk on the other side of the street. . . CLICK to enlarge.

Another snow covered bench

One more bench in the snow!!

I guess everyone missed this one because there were no comments so am repeating it again. This is not from this year as winter hasn't arrived yet.
