We ate at Subway on the way to the beach for the clean up day. This is the kind of benches they had there.

Bench at Powell's Book store in Portland, OR

This bench was constantly in use but I took this photo anyway.
Then, I walked around by the entrance and took a photo fo it from the backside. Lousy shots but at least I had the pictures of a new bench. It was to be the only one in the book store as the other bench I shot was blurry. That means, I know where to go to get another bench photo someday. . . sigh

Celebration benches . . .

I hope Katney will help me remember the name of this town where we ate lunch at Subway on the way to the beach. . . this town celebrated 200 years of being established back in 1996 and made these planter benches to commerate the celebration.

We were shown to our table for breakfast and I spotted all these benches out the window on the deck. I did not go out there sicne it was raining so you get to see all of them together instead of individually.

Wood Bench at Saturday market for sale

This bench was for sale at Saturday Market. The owner kept watching me and my camera so I was embarrased to take a photo but finally figured to go to the next booth and take a photo from there where they did not see me. Enlarge if you want to see the pieced wood of the bench. It's like a puzzle piece. It did not look comfortable tho.

For Sale at Sears Department Store

I was doing some shopping at this store when I ran across this lovely bench for the table behind it. Too much lighting but I think you can still see the nice bench.

Most unusual bench on way to dowtown Portland. . .

I was on my way to the Apple store in Pioneer Courthouse Square in Portland, Oregon, riding the MAX train when the doors opened to let people off and on WHEN I spotted this most unusual bench. By time as I got my camera out of bag and snapped a picture, I did not get to frame it so this is all I got. . . but I knew I would be coming the opposite way on the way home . . . so I looked for it again and had better luck this time! This was shot through the window but I still like it as the subject is really unique! It's a 2 seater but not meant for friends.

Rocker bench for sale. . .

I went with a friend to Bi-mart today -- never been in there because you need to buy a card to join to purchase stuff unless you are a guest of one who has a card whcih I was. I looked around everywhere and guess what I found? BENCHES! Isn't this one a beauty? I wish I had room for it on a covered patio!

Dollhouse bench at antique store

I saw this one a couple months ago and thought I had the photo but it was all blurry. So, I went back to see if it was still there and it was . . . so finally got a photo of it. No, I did not buy it.

Bought this mini bench Saturday . . .

I went to the antique store and it was staring at me from the show window! Of course, I had to take it home.

The two butterflies have nothing to do with it -- I bought them to put in my patriotic bedroom one day. A friend that lives here crocheted them. One day I will find just the right spot to place them in my room. Not sure where the bench will end up. Maybe with snowmen on it???!!!!

Benches at the historic Academy

We were on the Art Walk last month and went to a new place in the Academy that displayed art. I did not know where it was located so we first ran into this newer looking bench in the hall. Then we discovered, it was in the old kitchen which is now a pizza place. The old one there looks like it has seen better times.

Ï went to buy some patriotic things for my bedroom at this store today because a friend had spotted them there. This was the only bench around. . . kinda sad and lonely. Looks like no one cared about it. The reflection in the window is kinda nice tho.
