Look at the side of this bench -- see the mama hummingbird feed her babies in the nest? This was in front of a store that was trying to sell it. I think they should remove the distractions from the seat of the bench and let it stand alone. Both sides have this carving on them and the top issimple. A perfect garden bench!

The sculpture is lovely. I agree with you: without the plants, people would better see and appreciate the bench.
