This is another well kept bench on a porch.

Shadow bench

This is really strange how the photo came out. I guess it became a shadow because of the full sun behind it?

Pretty porch bench

Looks like someone cares for this bench!

Broken back bench

How sad that it's been neglected. . .

Bench hiding behind bush . . . and birdbath

I also take photos of fountains and bird baths so that is why I took this photo. Got home and saw th bench peeking out from behind the bush! Can you spot it?

This is just sitting there in an almost deserted part of town, close to the freeway entrance to go to Portland.

Looks like it's the junk heap!

Short arms bench. . .

I have this in my folder of benches but I have no idea where I took it or when. It is definitely different than your average bench.

Leaf Covered Bench

A bench at Hethwood pond covered with beautiful leaves.
They had just fallen as we had some wind and rain the night before.

Small but beautiful bench . . .

I couldn't get a good photo of this one. It ahs slats on the seat and that makes it a bench to me! Neat ironwork for the rest.

Bench by bank building. . .

I must pass this bench several times a week but yesterday, I realized it was a bench outside this bank building. Maybe it is for employees to enjoy nice days taking a break or eating lunch?

Bisset Park Bench

One of the many benches at Bisset Park. You can see
the New River right behind it.
EDIT: The name of the River is the New River.
I didn't have the "n" capitalized the first time around.

Waiting benches . . .

Here they wait for placement, under the shade of a tree. Maybe one day, they will be given a place of prominence for people to rest upon and others to view. But for now, they just wait. . .

bench for BIG people or for those not needing to lean back?

The title is silly I know but that's what thought came into my head when I first saw it. Lots of room for a small person to fall through the back!

If you enlarge this bench, you will notice the handmade detail of the arms, legs and slats. It is a beautifully designed bench and certainly draws eyes towards it if not for relaxing, to view!

Zoo Bench

A bench from the zoo I visited back in September.

Twin benches

These two benches were in a corner at the County Fair.

Fall is really in the air here!

This bench has a matching table. The ironwork is quite detailed.

A friend's bench . . .

If you want to see an internet's friend's beautiful bench, go here: Mama Bear's bench She has recently moved back to Alabama but still has some things at her old home in TN until the house sells. She decided to bring her bench back in a recent trip and I understand why.

Benches at the Pond

Two benches at the pond I visit frequently.
This was shot early one morning with the vapor rising up from the water.

Woven bench

This bench set includes a chair and table besides the bench.

Pretty seat cushions set

What makes this set of bench and chair so pretty is the cushions. The unique style of the woven set is one that makes this bench stand out.

Another white woven bench. . .

Bench for one again. Small table to go with it.

Colonial bench for two. . .

Reminds me of those colonial dining room chairs -- only it is BENCH. I really like this one even tho it is just a bench for two. . .

Tuesday, October 7, 2008

Rocking chair "bench. . . "

Ok so it looks like maybe it is just a rocking chair but I liked it and decided to include it with the benches.

Monday, October 6, 2008

Fancy white bench . . .

This bench was way over so I didn't get a great photo of it. I don't know what is stacked on it or next to it but whatever it is, it doesn't help to show the beauty of the actual bench.

Waiting for the tomatoes to ripen bench. . .

Simple bench next to garden tomatoes. . .

Beautiful bench, NO sleeping kitty . . .

I didn't see the kitty on the bench until I uploaded it to my computer. I really like the iron sides of this bench. CLICK on to see detail. The railing of the stairway kinda messes up this shot but it was the best I could do as there was a fence around the yard. Like I had to tell you that! lol

OK so it isn't a kitty -- I had enlarged it and thought I saw a white face and two ears. lol Thanks! No sleeping kitty here.

Plastic decorative bench set of three

OK, so the two chairs aren't benches but they belong with it so I call them a bench set. I like the design on the back of them! They even have a table to go with them. . .

Three of two plus kitty!

I wanted to call this "bench for one AND/OR bench for two" but then that would leave out the kitty siting on the "one" bench. . . so I included all three and included kitty in the title!
I think this is my favorite set of benches I saw on my walk AFTER the gorgeous iron one I showed the other day that I asked the man permission to come in his yard to photograph..

Our discussion about whether a seat is a bench if it fits just one fits here. THIS single seating is definitely a bench. . . as well as the double seating one. Now on the smaller one, probably 3 kitties could sit on it! Ü End of discussion!

PS Did you notice the sign? I was walking and didn't have a Mustang so I couldn't park there! lol

Neglected gazebo bench

I have had this photo for quite awhile -- I was hoping they would clean i up this summer so I could get a better shot of the bench but it wasn't to be.
