"Each year, 7 million bulbs are planted in the Keukenhof gardens near Lisse, NL, for the annual flower show. This bench is a front row seat to a few of them. "
This is another bench from my teacher friend, Elaine.

My friend. Elaine, shared these with me from her recent trip. I will have one a day for several days.
"Doubling as a plant stand, this bench faces a canal in Leiden, NL.."

It almost looks like little footballs on the back of this bench. I love the back wooden frame. The thin arms match the legwork. I don't remember where I took this but I think it was on a porch at a business that was located in an old house.

I usually walk on the other side of the street when I visit my friend, Myrl. This week, I decided to try the other side of the street and just as I was going to cut across to catch a bus on a side street, I spotted these! I could not believe how one can miss 6 benches just by walking across the street. . . probably, I was so tired by time as I went to see Myrl, walking up and down hills and BACK TOO that I just headed straight for the bus. It was a neat discovery that day. I wonder if just one or two people sit there and move around depending on the sun or something. They certainly could have a group chatting to all.

Saw this in an art studio last week when all the art shows were receiving visitors. It is downtown. I actually asked a lady if she would get up so I could take a photo of this bench! Can you believe it???? Me, this shy person normally has gone crazy! It isn't even that beautiful a bench. . .

I read on a sign that these two benches were made expressely for this place that educates the public about water resources and its environment. Notice that one piece of stone fits into the carved out edge of the other. Very original!

I found this on the third floor of the observation deck in the Kaiser Shipyard by the boat ramp. I have lived here 24 years and never climbed it before this weekend. I suppose it is for those who, after climbing three sets of stairs, might need to pause for a moment.

I was walking in an area of town near the railroad station because I have a Flat Stanley visiting me from North Carolina and I was giving him the tour of the city. I saw this pretty bench outside this building so I took a photo with the name of the building first.
Then I took a close up of it. . . and when I got closer I saw a bench inside the building so I got my brave face on and tried to open the door but it was locked. That didn't stop me. I was trying to look through the glass doors to see how I could take it through the window like I have done a million times WHEN a lady comes to the door, unlocks it and asks what I am doing? I wanted to run but I had the guts to tell her I wanted to take a photo of the bench inside and she allowed me to come in and take it. She even offered to remove the cushion. I said not to as I liked it that way.
So, this is what I risked my neck for last Monday! Was it worth the embarrasement? YES!!!!!!!!!! Isn't it divine?
