Bench made from decommissioned ship . . .

This bench was constructed from the gangway boards of the USS St. Louis (C-20) which was launched May 6, 1905 and decommissioned March 3, 1922.

Someone with a feeling for both design, carpentry and history must have made this one.

Thank you for sharing this bench with us!! It's a very extraordinarily beautiful and special bench. The model is great . The wood is very of the best and strongest kind. It's a bench with a history. Who walked on this gangway? Where did it travel to?
I have no bench this week for I have been very busy. Painting, cleaning and my computer was playing up. I had to reset the router and now it works again perfectly.
