I rather liked this colorful bench. Air circulates because the iron strips are spaced. It is big enough to have people sitting on both sides!
I hope the man didn't mind that I took his photo -- I did not know I would find an empty one too! This shows how big they are with room to sit in both directions.
Did you notice the shadow from the bench?

but maybe, a back could be useful..I could not sit a long time without a back.

These would feel lovely in the summer with the natural air-conditioning. In winter--maybe better to look at than to sit on! :)
Nice and wide to put shopping bags on too! I would bring a cushion to sit on.
Get rid of the centre support and it would be perfect for laying do on in complete rest.. ha! I can not recall seeing anty like these.
